Clinton & Peed is proud to announce that its founding partners, Tim Clinton and Matt Peed—both Harvard College alumni—have joined more than 12,000 Harvard graduates in submitting an Amicus Curiae brief supporting Harvard University in President and Fellows of Harvard College v. U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
Each year for the last decade, Washington DC SuperLawyers Magazine has selected founding partner Tim Clinton to its list of "Super Lawyers"; and this year, it also selected partner Matt Peed to the list. Clinton and Peed were first selected for inclusion in the list of "Rising Stars" for 2014 and 2015; and partner Alec Rosenberg was selected for inclusion in the “SuperLawyers” lists of 2014 and 2015, before Clinton was first named to the “SuperLawyers” list in 2016.
In a moment of extraordinary challenge to the independence of the legal profession, Clinton & Peed has proudly joined three amicus briefs—submitted by fewer than 1,000 law firms nationwide and only a handful of the top 100—in support of larger firms facing sweeping executive sanctions. We believe this collective action is not only consistent with the highest obligations of the bar, but essential to preserving the rule of law in a constitutional democracy.
In a significant appellate victory for our client, Sarah Ramey, the District of Columbia Court of Appeals ruled on April 24, 2025, that Ms. Ramey is entitled to a new trial in her medical malpractice lawsuit against Foxhall Urology and Dr. Edward Dunne.
Yesterday, Clinton & Peed filed a complaint in federal court in California against Warner Bros on behalf of British voice actor Marc Silk and his company, The Production Pit Limited. The complaint alleges that (with the permission of Warner Bros and J.K. Rowling) Mr. Silk created recordings of certain performances in which he portrayed the talking “Sorting Hat” of the Harry Potter universe. Mr. Silk granted permission for these recordings to be used only in connection with a particular plush animatronic “Sorting Hat” toy.
For the ninth year in a row, Washington DC SuperLawyers Magazine has selected founding partner Tim Clinton to its list of "Super Lawyers." Clinton and partner Matt Peed were first selected for inclusion in the list of "Rising Stars" for 2014 and 2015; and partner Alec Rosenberg was selected for inclusion in the “SuperLawyers” lists of 2014 and 2015, before Clinton was first named to the “SuperLawyers” list in 2016.
